One year later GERHARD PAAR became part of the band. It was in May 1995 when the band was renamed into Black Rose. Then in September the band was joined by the drummer GERD SOJKA. In the year 1996 Black Rose recorded their first album called "RAINBOW IN YOUR EYES". It showed the music-scene that good Melodic-Rock could also be made in Austria and became a release in Japan in 1997 ! It was one year later when the next album came out. It was named "TIME DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL". It was more influenced by bluesy harmonies than the first album and showed that the band made a step forward again. With this album the first reviews came out from the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany and Austria. And they were really great. Meanwhile there were worldwide seven bands that had the same band name. So Black Rose decided to change it's name into BADHOVEN in July 2001. It was in that time when the band was in the studio to record the third album. Also the style changed from Melodic Rock into Melodic Hardrock. It was October, 19th when the band brought out their brand-new album "BEHIND THE MASQUERADE". All over Europe the magazines wrote great reviews. There was also one excellent coming out from AOR CENTRAL in L.A. The reviews were followed by radio interviews. BADOVEN is played now on some private radio stations in Austria, Germany and Nothern Italy. In 2002 there was also coming out a CD-Rock-Sampler including the strong song "Wasted Time". Concerts in Austria and Italy were followed by great reviews showing that BADHOVEN is an excellent live-act, too. 2003 was the year of South America: On ROCKUM magazine the band was No.1 in the magazine charts for several weeks; even bands like SKID ROW were placed behind! Now Badhoven was played at radio stations in Peru (Lima), Argentine and Brazil. 2004 many things happened within and around the band. In September the recordings of the new album began although the band knew that JACKY GREILBERGER was leaving the band at the end of the year for occupational reasons. The recordings were great and in November the band did their last gig in the original line-up at the PLANET in Vienna. There BADHOVEN supported the legendary Austrian hardrockers NO BROS. 2005 is the year of the new album called BELIEVE. Ten great songs and the video of the title track are opening new doors to reach out for a bigger audience. In June DOM E. NICK (19) joined the band as the new bassguitar player and as a free member. Actually he is a guitarist in his own band called FRIGHTLINER but for BADHOVEN the talented young guy learned to play JACKY's fretless bassguitar and the new program within two weeks!!! At the live-presentation of the new album at the EXPLOSIV in Graz/Austria he played a damned good gig. The performance was really great. On November 10th 2006 the gig at the Orpheum in Graz/Austria was filmed with seven cameras to bring out the live-DVD 'Captured Live' in March 2007. September 2007: After searching for a very long time Juergen 'Jorgino' Ehrenmueller (21) is now our new confirmed man on the bass guitar. Lots of thanks to Dom E. Nick helping us through this long time without a real bass guitarist! Now we have 2008 and an amazing thing is happening yet: The guitar hero Wim Roleants who played together with Phil Campbell (Motörhead), Virgil Donati (Steve Vai), Dario Lorina (Warrant), Uriah Heep, Ritchie Kotzen (Mr. Big) and other great musicians is joining the band for the live gigs. It's amazing how he fits in the band and brings it on a higher level. Let's look forward and see what will happen in the future.
