In recent years, Greece has turned out to be a real treasure trove especially for metal bands. Cellar Stone also come from Greece (Athens). With the two band founders Aris Pirris (vocals, guitar/ Persona Non Grata) and George Maroulees (guitar/ Diviner), two old fellows of the music scene joined forces in 2018. With Akis Rooster (bass/4Bitten, Band 13) and George Karlis (drums) the line-up was complete. Great hooks, famous leads, power and feeling, Cellar Stone deliver powerfully on their second album "Rise & Fall". Influenced by Rock & Metal giants such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Alice In Chains, as well as the bands of today such as Black Stone Cherry, Shinedown, Mastodon and Alter Bridge, Cellar Stone make their own statement. Fitting, that black Stone Cherry frontman Chris Robertson is a guest on the album, with a fiery guitar solo on track "War We Can Win". The Covid pandemic and the impact it has had on people's lives, especially the music industry, are reflected throughout the album. How uncertain our lives suddenly became, on a global scale, is the main theme in the music and lyrics. Choruses that stick, strong melodies, a pandemonium of guitar harmonies and massive guitar riffing, 11 brand new heavy rock tracks that make an impression.
