SYNOPSIS 'Athena Under Attack' is an edgy new rock opera that takes place on 9/11 as Christina, Sam and Athena meet on a rooftop in Queens and witness, in chaos and shock, the events of the day. Wildly opposing psycho-political reactions are juxtaposed as Athena relives childhood trauma and Sam rapes his girlfriend Christina in a fit of post-traumatic patriotic fervor. Athena and Christina are left feeling violently raw and emotionally broken. This innovative new musical explores opposing emotional reactions and demonstrates the necessity for peace. ABOUT ATHENA Athena Reich is an award winning singer/songwriter, actress, TV Host/Personality, Lady Gaga Impersonator and Arts Educator. She has performed and taught in schools, performance halls, colleges, and on radio & TV across North America & Europe. Athena is originally from Toronto, but is currently based out of New York City. Athena was chosen to appear in Lady Gaga's 'Edge of Glory' Google Chrome commercial which aired during the season finales of Glee, SNL, Billboard Awards and more. She has been sweeping the nation as 'renowned Lady Gaga impersonator Athena Reich' (Washington Times), and now Lady Gaga herself has taken notice.
