Singer-songwriter, Barbara Garriel is from New York. "Ample Patience" is her debut release. Barbara's style is an eclectic blend of adult contemporary blues, country, and folk-rock, with a whole lot of heart and soul. The album is a compilation of songs about yearnings and desires, freedom and friendship, betrayal and found love. They are gutsy, sensual songs with heartfelt lyrics. "Ample Patience" was originally recorded and produced by award winning singer-songwriter, Tom Prasada-Rao. Additional recording, production and mastering was done at Media One Recording with award winning producer Steve Young. 'Barbara Garriel writes smart, sassy, sexy, and satirical songs that instantly grab the audience. Her voice is the voice of every woman. Her songwriting is without clutter and her voice effortlessly carries with it a lightness and joy that many of us have to spend years and years honing. Everyone is smiling when Barbara is playing. Her wonderful presence is joyful and confident and contagious!' Joe Iadanza, Host - Canvas Gallery Open Mic, Singer/Songwriter Stella Davie of Laundry Room Music writes: 'Barbara's songs are like lemon drops. They're fun, they're sweet, with a little bit of an edge that is strangely reminiscent of something from long ago that you're glad to have back in your life.' Besides writing songs and performing, Barbara writes children's books and offers author/assembly presentations and writing workshops at schools and libraries. Some of her titles include: I Know a Shy Fellow Who Swallowed a Cello, Wolves and Their Ways, Underwater Cities - the Coral Reefs, and Endangered Sea Life. Barbara's website has more information about her books and presentations.
