Many of Biró's haunting works are based on texts from the Hebrew Bible. Mishpatim derives it's title from Chapters 21-24 of the book of Exodus, in which Moses relays God's laws to the Israelites. Dániel Péter Biró was born in 1969. He studied in the U.S., Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Israel. Today he is Associate Professor at the Grieg Academy, University of Bergen in Norway. He was awarded many times.
