Vinyl LP pressing. 2014 album from the long-established purveyors of the finest in UK roots reggae. For 15 years, from the band's beginnings in 1979 in Bristol up until the early 90s, Black Roots were mainstays of the live circuit, with a superb discography and plentiful coverage on radio, in print and even on television. And then everything goes quiet. The band seems to slide off the ends of the earth and nothing happens until 2004. French reggae label Makasound contacted the band and agreement was reached to re-release their catalog. Finally in 2012 Black Roots released their first new studio album in over 20 years entitled ON THE GROUND. Today's line-up includes six of the original members of the band augmented with additional musicians for studio and live work. GHETTO FEEL was produced by Jeff Spencer and Black Roots and mixed, edited and mastered by Louis Beckett.
