This recording throws light into forgotten corners and discovers some glittering gems; some of them demanding dazzling vocal fireworks from their performers. Several of these composers set scenes from Classical mythology or Old Testament narratives - but they also explore the underside of the Baroque psyche in one of David's darkest psalms and in a representation of Arcadian madness.

Tracks:
1.1 Recitative: These Are Thy Glorious Works [01:22]
1.2 Duet: And with Songs and Choral Symphonies [01:44]
1.3 Recitative: Fairest of Stars, Last in the Train of Night [00:29]
1.4 Aria: Praise Him in Thy Spheare [00:53]
1.5 Recitative: Thou Sun of This Great World [00:21]
1.6 Aria: Sound His Praise in Thy Eternal Course [02:03]
1.7 Recitative: Moon, That Now Meet'st the Orient Sun [00:35]
1.8 Aria: Resound His Praise [00:42]
1.9 Recitative: Air, and Ye Elements [00:41]
1.10 Aria: Let Your Ceaseless Change [01:24]
1.11 Recitative: Ye Mists, and Exhalations [00:52]
1.12 Aria: Rising or Falling, Still Advance His Praise [01:07]
1.13 Recitative: His Praise, Ye Winds [00:53]
1.14 Aria: In Sign of Worship Wave [01:36]
1.15 Recitative: Fountains, and Ye, That Warble [00:16]
1.16 Aria: Warbling Tune His Praise [01:09]
1.17 Duet: Joyn Voices, All Ye Living Souls [02:04]
1.18 Duet: Ye That in Waters Glide [01:23]
1.19 Duet: Hail!
