Marking a significant new era in both his personal and musical life, Martin tackles a myriad of themes; self-awareness and personal growth, treasured friendships, swept-off-your-feet romance and gut wrenching heartbreak - all with a laidback, indie singer-songwriter sound that naturally shapes the album into three linear phases: the end of a relationship, new beginnings and the consequential feeling of accepting change. Described by Martin as a 'time capsule', each track on the album was written and recorded in one day, making for a raw and honest snapshot of Martin's life experiences at the time.
