Fauré's Messe basse, with it's intimate lyricism, is paired with a contemporary Gloria by David Davies. Alain's Messe modale en septuor reveals his rhythmic vitality and chant-inspired style, while Langlais' Missa in simplicitate embodies an effortless spiritual purity.
