Cait La Dee's roots are deeply immersed in Hip-Hop. Inspired by the Breakdance and DJ communities of the Bay Area, Cait La Dee has created her own brand and identity. She sings with the conviction of a soloist in a gospel choir however, her walk and talk exudes rawness, creativity, and flavor. Her music production represents that style. Hard Hip-Hop beats lay the foundation for her tales of love lost and regained. 'Take me home', the second cut on the album, is a heartfelt story about the angst of missing loved ones. The song was recently selected for use in a Procter and Gamble national advertising campaign entitled - 'Nostalgia Dad'. Dance with meâ?? is an up-tempo ode to 70â?? funk thatâ?? reminiscent of classic Stevie Wonder. Her influences range from the Queen of R&B, Aretha Franklin to Joni Mitchell, Mc Lyte, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Kim Burrell to name a few. From a young age, Cait La Dee joined her family recording children albums and performing street vaudeville throughout the US and Europe. She sang in professional choirs while receiving classical training in piano, flute, bass and voice. Cait La Dee started writing songs as soon as she could form sentences and, by the age of 12, was given the honor of directing the Telluride Jazz Festival. Cait La Dee has thrilled such large crowds and stages as the Great American Music Hall (SF) and Shoreline Amphitheater (SF-Bay). By the age of 18, world renowned Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir had also recognized Cait La Dee's talent and had requested that she be a guest artist on their album. By early adulthood, there was no doubt in her mind what she was placed on this earth to do. Cait La Dee's album, includes â??You bring me Joyâ?? produced by Award winning super producer Mark Sparks. Sparks (Soulife music) has produced hits for Will Smith, Sunshine Anderson, Donell Jones, Mary J. Blige, and Boys II Men to name a few. Cait La Dee looks to follow in the footsteps of other great Bay Area legends like Carlos Santana, En Vogue, MC Hammer, Tupac Shakur, Tower of Power, Too Short, Tone, Toni, Tony, and more.
