Allen's breezy \"Alternate Thoughts\" showcases Wilson's exuberant soprano sax and Chestnut's buoyant piano, along with Jones' tasty acoustic guitar solo. Whitaker's \"Summer (The Sweet Goodbye)\" opens deceptively with a melancholy air before transforming into a driving post-bop setting.
