This time Max Pommer and the Thuringia Chamber Orchestra Weimar have concentrated on music of the 18th century, with an emphasis on the symphonic genre. Lovers of classical and pre-classical music can look forward to unusual discoveries. Max Pommer (born 9 February 1936) is a German musicologist and conductor, a director of the Leipziger Universitätschor and the founder and conductor of the Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum. From 1987 to 1991, Pommer was Generalmusikdirektor of the MDR Sinfonieorchester.
