The New Love was the fifth and last album that Carlos Garnett recorded for Muse label in the 70's. He reverts to a smaller combo and features heavyweight musicians like Alphonse Mouzon, Terumasu Hino and Joe Bonner. The album has a slightly lighter feel than it's predecessors. It includes the Jazz-Funk Dance classic 'Uncle Ben And Aunt Jemima', a highly rhythmic track with a wicked bass line a sure fire dancefloor filler.
