While much of his recording activity was a spinoff of his mainstream dancing\/acting career, he enjoyed sporadic singing success, both in the UK and the US. Between 1958-60, while based in London, he cut an LP and registered one hit 45, 'Heart Of A Teenage Girl'. Following the success of the \"West Side Story\" movie he cut a couple of US hit albums, \"West Side Story's Dynamic George Chakiris\" and \"Memories Are Made Of These\".
