Highly underrated, mainly because he disappeared from the jazz scene for a number of years due to personal problems, Flores' considerable drum skills have been touted by all he has played with. Presented here is Flores' rare 1976 solo album, Flores Azules - a swinging Latin jazz affair featuring Chuck Flores (drums, bells, cowbell, tambourine); Bobby Shew (trumpet, fluegelhorn); Bob Hardaway (tenor saxophone, flute); Dick Johnston (acoustic piano, electric piano) and David Troncoso (upright bass, electric bass, congas).
