Despite his charisma and image most record companies cared little for jazz stars from the Swing Era. This is quite unfair in the case of Hawkins since he always kept his ears wide open to new trends, playing with and also learning from young and contemporary talents. In spite of the lack of commercial opportunities the saxophonist continued to work at clubs and in concert. This CD of Coleman Hawkins' recordings presented in chronological order opens with three tracks that were made at Carnegie Hall during a Jazz at the Philharmonic concert.

Tracks:
1.1 Stuffy - Coleman Hawkins Quartet
1.2 Yesterdays - Coleman Hawkins Quartet
1.3 Hawk's Tune - Coleman Hawkins Quartet
1.4 Sin - Coleman Hawkins ; His Orchestra
1.5 And So to Sleep Again - Coleman Hawkins ; His Orchestra
1.6 Spellbound - Coleman Hawkins
1.7 Amber - Coleman Hawkins
1.8 Lost in a Fog - Coleman Hawkins
1.9 Carioca - Coleman Hawkins
1.10 Trust in Me - Coleman Hawkins
1.11 Wishin' - Coleman Hawkins
1.12 Lonely Wine - Coleman Hawkins
1.13 Midnight Sun - Coleman Hawkins
1.14 If I Could Be with You - Coleman Hawkins ; His Orchestra
1.15 I Can't Get Started - Coleman Hawkins ; His Orchestra
1.16 Ruby - Coleman Hawkins
1.17 Moulin Rouge - Coleman Hawkins
1.18 Lucky Duck - Coleman Hawkins
1.19 Bye 'N' Bye - Coleman Hawkins
