Oistrakh collaborated with major orchestras and musicians from many parts of the world, including the Soviet Union, Europe, and the United States, and was the dedicatee of numerous violin works, including both of Dmitri Shostakovich's violin concerti, and the violin concerto by Aram Khachaturian. He is considered one of the preeminent violinists of the 20th century. David Oistrakh is known to have played at least seven Stradivarius violins owned by the Soviet Union. He initially selected the 1702 Conte di Fontana Stradivarius, which he played for 10 years before exchanging it for the 1705 Marsick Stradivarius in June 1966, which he played until his death.

Tracks:
1.1 Con in a, Op.82: Moderato
1.2 Con in a, Op.82: Andante
1.3 Con in a, Op.82: Allegro
1.4 Con, Op.18: Allegro Con Brio
1.5 Con, Op.18: Andante Cantabile
1.6 Con, Op.18: Vivace Giocoso
1.7 Romance, Op.3

Audio Sample:
All soundclips are provided by Tidal and are for illustrative purposes only.
