A pianist, arranger and composer, he was born in Borgosesia (Vercelli), in the north-west of Italy in 1968. Having studied piano in his home town, he continued to study classical music with his teacher Shuto Kayoko, a Japanese concert pianist, with whom he qualified, receiving the diploma in piano in 1994 at the conservatoire of Rovigo. During this time, he was also developing a great passion for jazz and composition, and studied with Maestro Renato Dionisi and the pianist Franco D'Andrea. In 1991 he received a scholarship in Perugia to study jazz piano and film music the following year with Ray Santisi at the prestigious 'Berklee School' in Boston. He has worked as a jazz pianist in Switzerland and Monte Carlo. Currently he is composing and orchestrating music for films and documentaries. In November 2006 he gave a series of concerts in Somma Lombarda and Novara with the great vibraphonist Mike Mainieri, founder and leader of the well-known group 'Steps Ahead'.
