88 Years is the 7th collection of all original celtic music from Dulahan. The album spans the wide range of musical emotions the band is known for . From the driving opening anthem SONS OF THE IRISH HEROES, with it's blazing fiddle and highland pipe interplay,to the evocative BOUND FOR WALES, to the tender FIND A WAY plus a couple lighthearted irreverent pub songs the band continues to evolve it's sound and still maintain the unique hybrid sound that has been it's trademark for 12 plus years . 88 YEARS embodies the varied influences of each member of Dulahan . The distinctive melodic flute, whistle and highland pipe melodies played by long time member Leo Butler and the creative fiddle lines of new member John Lardinois create a strong counterpoint to the well crafted original songs of lead vocalist Kyle Aughe . Add in percussionist Bart Cason locking down the grooves, multi- instrumentalist Mark Sandlin on Bouzouki, Mandolin, Banjo and Guitar and the usual tight Dulahan multi-part vocal harmonies and you have a dynamic 14 song collection of the new face of Celtic music.
