The program features music by living composers including Nicky Sohn, Heike Beckmann, Sung-Hyun Yun, and Kai-Young Chan, while showcasing the unique sound world of the flute quartet. Delicate lyricism, rhythmic intensity and percussive effects all contribute to the album's sense of forward motion. Founded in 2009, Emissary Quartet has established itself as a leading flute quartet, with a strong commitment to contemporary music and collaboration.
