With their sole 1982 private press album, Ernst operated in the space between German New Wave (Neue Deutsche Welle aka NDW) and international post-punk. Inspired by the Talking Heads (whom they saw or heard live in 1980\/81), they formed the band and translated several Talking Heads songs into German; further tracks like Devo's \"Mongoloid\" were adapted likewise. And what can one say? Their German versions were pure genius.
