His string quartets encompass almost his entire creative life. The Albis string quartet indicates the place where the four ensemble members work: Magdeburg on the Elbe (lat. Albis). It was from there that concertmaster Sophie Tangermann, who graduated from the "Hanns Eisler University of Music", founded the quartet in order to record the works of her grandfather, Klaus Fischer-Dieskau, and to give them their world premiere in concerts.

Tracks:
1.1 String Quartet No. 1 D-Moll Op. 16~Allegro con fuoco
1.2 String Quartet No. 1 D-Moll Op. 16~Andante tranquillo
1.3 String Quartet No. 1 D-Moll Op. 16~Allegro determinato (Presto)
1.4 String Quartet No. 4 in A Op. 81~Con fuoco - Sehr getragen - Allegro
1.5 String Quartet No. 4 in A Op. 81~Commodo
1.6 String Quartet No. 4 in A Op. 81~Adagio - Presto spiccato - Adagio - Andante quasi recitativo - Vivo

Audio Sample:
All soundclips are provided by Tidal and are for illustrative purposes only.
