This program includes early works reflecting the influence of Scheidemann's teacher Sweelinck as well as fashionable dances, and is crowned with majestic transcriptions and variations on secular and Lutheran vocal music. Julia Brown's many Naxos recordings include Vols 3-5 and the forthcoming final Vol 7 of Scheidemann's organ works.
