The inclusion of traditional songs in his repertoire and lack of then-modern Blues influences on his style, establish Hurt as a firm link between the 19th and 20th centuries. Despite cutting a handful of memorable 78s for OKeh Records in 1928, Hurt remained largely forgotten until being rediscovered in the early 1960s, which led to him being eagerly embraced by a new generation of Blues aficionados and musicians. This compilation features the thirteen surviving sides he recorded for OKeh in 1928, augmented by eleven live tracks recorded in the early 60s, following his re-emergence. Included are his signature songs, 'Frankie', 'Louis Collins', 'Nobody's Dirty Business', 'Avalon Blues', etc.

Tracks:
1.1 Frankie
1.2 Nobody's Dirty Business
1.3 Ain't No Tellin'
1.4 Louis Collins (The Angels Laid Him Away)
1.5 Avalon Blues
1.6 Big Leg Blues
1.7 Stack O'Lee Blues
1.8 Candy Man Blues
1.9 Got the Blues Can't Be Satisfied
1.10 Blessed Be the Name
1.11 Praying on the Old Camp Ground
1.12 Blue Harvest Blues
1.13 Spike Driver Blues
1.14 Make Me a Pallet on Your Floor [Live]
1.15 Baby, What's Wrong with You?
