With a penchant for unusual but well chosen material, White was an artist of great depth and sophistication. She recorded mostly on the West Coast with top Jazz musicians including Chico Hamilton, Bud Shank, Laurindo Almeida, Buddy Collette, Red Calendar and Gerald Wiggins. On the classic 1962 session featured here, Kitty is backed by Buddy Collette's orchestra featuring the outstanding guitar playing of Laurindo Almeida. All selections newly re-mastered.
