Two outstanding consecutive albums in their entirety presenting Milt Jackson in different musical settings. Statements is a quartet LP on which the leader is backed by Hank Jones on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Connie Kay on drums. Vibrations, on the other hand, features Jackson with a larger band that includes such stars as Jimmy Heath and Tommy Flanagan. Two beautiful ballads presenting Jackson fronting an orchestra conducted by Quincy Jones have been added as a bonus. Algo Bueno appears here for the first time on CD in it's complete form, without a skip during Heath's solo that marred all previous CD releases to date. Essential Jazz Classics.
