Psycho & Plastic are a Berlin based duo with a passion for nonconformist electronic music. They are on a mission to reintroduce a sense of wonder and adventure to both the dancefloor and the home listening experience. Their fiercely independent spirit is not only embodied in their music, but also in their decision to operate their own label, Give Us Your gold. Psycho & Plastic's first full-length Kosmopop was recorded in seclusion in the East German town of Chemnitz and meticulously embellished and perfected in Psycho & Plastic's Berlin studios over a period of almost two years. Heavily influenced by the first and second summer of love - especially the mystical view on the wonders of inner and outer space from 1960s psychedelia, science fiction writing, and 1990s rave culture - the album is a musical discovery of an imaginary galaxy, it's planets and inhabitants. As such, it also serves as a metaphor for the fearless exploration of the unknown. The outcome is a highly optimistic dance album with dark undertones, featuring a unique sonic palette of analog synths, alien guitars, organic sequencing, and otherworldly vocals. It's mind-bending eclecticism ranges from the gravitational pull of bass heavy, krautrock-infused opener "Black Hole Acid Test" and the crisp funkiness of "Planet Seductron" through to the short ambient tracks "Boojum" and "Superflare" that frame both sides of the vinyl. The emotional turmoil of "Divine Loser", a melancholic ode to the Merry Pranksters disguised as a trippy stomper, and cosmic funkster "High Priests Of Stimulacrum" find their resolution in the high flying and atmospheric "Esoterra", a closer with a relentless kick drum fit for any dancefloor at sunrise.

Tracks:
1.1 Black Hole Acid Test
1.2 Planet Seduction
1.3 Funk Officer (Land That Spacecraft)
1.4 Entropy
1.5 Boojum
1.6 Superflare
1.7 Divine Loser
1.8 High Priests of Stimulacrum
1.9 Esoterra

Audio Sample:
All soundclips are provided by Tidal and are for illustrative purposes only.
