He received dual musical training in tabla and santur from his father, and his development as a virtuoso was extraordinarily fast.This new edition of a disc released over half a century ago is a tribute to this musician, who recently passed away and who, following in the footsteps of a generation of artists such as Vilayat Khan, Ali Akbar Khan and Ravi Shankar, brilliantly exposed another facet of North Indian classical music. The tabla accompaniment is provided by Kashinath Mishra [1937], a pupil of the late Pandit Anokhelal Mishra from Benares.

Tracks:
1.1 Raga Rageshwari: Alap
1.2 Raga Rageshwari: Viambit Tintal
1.3 Raga Rageshwari: Drut Tintal
1.4 Raga Sohini: Alap
1.5 Raga Sohini: Ektal
1.6 Pahadi Dhun: Alap
1.7 Pahadi Dhun: Kaharva
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2976/0132/files/4363332-3219422_790517e2-74b2-453c-a10d-b679a4e31d87.jpg?v=1722943327
