They comprised three girls and a guy, all teenagers, from Overbrook High School in Philadelphia; first soprano\/occasional lead Marlena Davis, second soprano\/principal lead Rosetta Hightower, alto\/occasional lead Shirley Brickley and baritone\/bass Stephen Caldwell. Although latecomers to the Cameo-Parkway stable of stars, the quality of their recorded legacy has accorded them a greater status than some of their labelmates, who are largely viewed as purveyors short-lived dance crazes. This compilation anthologises all their releases during 1961-62 and features their first three hit 45s, 'I'll Be True', 'The Wah-Watusi' and 'Don't Hang Up', plus their first two LPs, The Wah-Watusi and All The Hits By The Orlons.
