2013 debut album from the Blues guitarist. Tyrone is the son of guitarist Jimmie Vaughn and nephew of the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. Tyrone; handsome, charismatic, and as classically stylish as the red Fender Stratocaster guitar he sports; a sharp-dressed man, born to play "guitar." He's got the licks, and knows how to make that Stratocaster talk. Right away, that raw, rural sound is evidence that Tyrone has that "Vaughan" sound. Taking the reins, Vaughan co-wrote all 10 of it's songs, many of them musical cocktails with multiple influences stirred in. Downtime isn't a slick and polished package, and a better album for it. The disc contains everything from rocking Blues to 'barn-burners' to ballads, yeah; he's a real Texas guitar-slinger alright.
