At the heart of this album are rare air-shots made for overseas listeners and not heard since they were made in 1946 with the Dixielanders on top form. There is also a previously unreleased extract from a farewell concert made when the band was joined by a young Humphrey Lyttelton, long before he became a legendary musician and broadcaster and is worth buying for this alone.

Tracks:
1.1 Georgia Cakewalk
1.2 Copenhagen
1.3 Come Back Sweet Papa
1.4 New Orleans Hop Scop Blues
1.5 Dippermouth Blues
1.6 South
1.7 London Blues
1.8 Intro: London Blues extract
1.9 The Saints
1.10 Riverside Blues
1.11 Sugarfoot Strut
1.12 Hesitating Blues
1.13 Down In Honky Tonk Town
1.14 Intro: London Blues extract
1.15 Smokey Mokes
1.16 Lewisada Blues
1.17 Jenny’s Ball
1.18 That Dada Strain
1.19 Buddy Bolden’s Blues
1.20 Canal Street Blues
1.21 Weary Blues
1.22 End Announcement Rex Harris and George Webb farewells
1.23 The Saints
https://tower.com/products/webb-george-dixielanders-1945-1948-the-pioneers-of-british-traditional-jazz
