A childhood friend of fellow Norfolk native Jerry "Swamp Dogg" Williams; Wilson released his first solo album in 1978, after many years of being a session musician. He would go on to become a member of The legendary Funk Brothers, recording with them on their last album and also joined The Platters full time in 1994. He also worked with Swamp Dogg on his 2001 CD release "Eating Ain't Cheating." Flash back to the dawn of the 1970's, Jerry "Swamp Dogg" Williams was at the height of his creative powers, writing and producing hits in Muscle Shoals for deep soul artists like Freddie North and Doris Duke. In 1970, Swamp Dogg wrote and produced a single for his friend Wilson that was slated for the GSF label but was never released. One of the tunes, "Ghost Of Myself," was recorded by Doris Duke as well and was released in 1970. The flip side of Wilson's single, "Don't Let Foolish Words Keep Us Apart" is a soul scorcher and remains a stand out highlight of the era. Finally available in the digital domain, the lost gem "Ghost Of Myself" b/w "Don't Let My Foolish Words Keep Us Apart" is presented here, newly remastered from the original tapes.

Tracks:
1.1 Ghost Of Myself
1.2 Don't Let My Foolish Words Keep Us Apart

Audio Sample:
All soundclips are provided by Tidal and are for illustrative purposes only.
