Often described as "the most well-known unknown in the business," Don Ralke was an American music arranger, composer, and record producer, who worked for four decades in the Hollywood studio system in films, television, and pop recordings. His 1960 album, "The Savage And The Sensuous," is widely regarded as one of the best jungle exotica albums of that era. It was Ralke's orchestra that backed the late great Sam Cooke on many of his hit recordings in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Originally released on the Pasadena based Vita Records label in 1956, Ralke leads a vocal quintet on the ultra-rare 45, "For The First Time" b/w "Any Time's The Time For Love" - a nostalgic slice of romantic pop, very much reminiscent of the era it was recorded. This classic single is presented here newly remastered for this exclusive release and finally made available in the digital domain.
