Newfoundland has a storied history of stunning songwriters, and over the course of the last decade, The Once have become a big part of that story. They launched their career covering and reinventing the songs of celebrated songwriters, and with the release of their last few albums, they've become celebrated songwriters in their own right. The Once is named after a local idiom meaning, "we'll be right there,"and they've gotten 'there" in every sense of the word, having toured across Canada, The US, Europe, and Australia. On their latest album, "Time Enough" the band stays true to the strength of their 3-part folk harmony sound, while extending it's borders into new territory that stays fresh but sounds familiar. They've crafted a sonically understated, but emotionally fulsome sound that does what they've always done so well: stun us with what Amelia Curran calls "perfect vocal harmonies, thick enough to stand on."
