George Gee's ever popular band is back with it's second release - recorded live at the prestigious Zurich Festival in 2001 in a public concert at Zurich's historic main train station. The virtuosity and swing ability of this veteran-packed band was on display that steaming summer evening captured here live. Selections include the rarely heard Duke Ellington's "One Man Dance," Harry James' "Trumpet Blues and Cantible," a Latin masterpiece "Sunny Ray" by Ray Santos, and a cool Curtis-Dixon "Soul Serenade" played, soulfully of course, by Charles Stephens. The CD is dedicated to Frank Foster, whose song "Blues at Frankie's Flat" features veteran Eddie Bert and music director Walt Szymanski.
