'River of Fire' is the seventh release from the duo, Acoustic Eidolon. With Hannah Alkire on cello and Joe Scott on his custom 14-string guitjos and acoustic guitars, "River of Fire" is a combination of gypsy, flamenco and world influences, filled with passion and strong, emotional melodies. This CD draws inspiration from their many travels, including recent trips to Spain. Included are fan favorites such as 'Stairway to Heaven', 'Baby Sings the Blues' (finally!), 'House of Memories', 'River of Fire', and 'Looking for a River'. Acoustic Eidolon, dubbed 'World Music for the Soul', is one of the most exciting new sounds on the music scene today, blending Celtic, Gypsy Flamenco, World and folk flavors into strongly melodic and emotional music. Their recordings are featured on NPR, Woodsong's Old Time Radio Hour, and several television specials. Their music is lively and evocative, and encompasses their own life experiences to result in a riveting and deeply resonant audience experience. Acoustic Eidolon calls Colorado home though they have performed extensively throughout the world. With a repertoire that defies categories, their signature sound knows no bounds as their music travels through Celtic, World, Latin and Folk music influences. At times, even some Asian tonal poems and hard rock are blended into the mix. Dirty Linen Magazine praises them as "a sumptuous musical feast." They are described by the Swallow Hill Music Association as "an evening of brilliant instrumentality," and Georgia's Good Life Magazine enthuses, "Acoustic Eidolon offers concert-goers a chance to absorb some of the most powerful and intriguing music on the scene today."
