Eleonora Bianchini Originally from Perugia, Italy, Eleonora Bianchini is a young Italian singer who creates a warm and charming atmosphere through the sound of her voice. She is inspired by many Brazilian and Latin American artists such as Rosa Passos, Djavan, Caetano Veloso, Mayte Martin and Eva Ayllon. They have all greatly influenced her music, and it is thanks to their art, that she has discovered a secret place inside herself where a passion for Latin music has always existed. At the age of nine, Eleonora began studying piano. Shortly thereafter, she began to incorporate singing into her unique form of musical expression. She attended the Music Conservatory in Perugia Italy studying opera singing from1999 to 2003. During the same period, she was enrolled in the jazz studies department at the "Music University" in Rome where she studied jazz harmony, jazz repertoire and improvisation. After that, Miss. Bianchini attended the Berklee Clinics at the Umbria Jazz Festival in the summer of 2002, and she was awarded a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. On the same occasion, she was hand picked by Italian musician Giovanni Tommaso as the singer for the Berklee student quintet who performed for Orvieto Jazz Festival. Since then, Eleonora has been studying at Berklee in Boston, where she has performed in many of the events and concerts at the College. In the fall of 2005 she lead her acoustic trio in a performance during Berklee's Latin culture celebration. She has collaborated with artists such as Oscar Stagnaro, Mark Walker, Jamey Haddad, John Pierce, Jon Hazilla, Ruswell Hoffmann, Bernardo Hernandez, Egui Casrtillo, Mattew Nicholl, Alon Yavnai, Leo Blanco, Dan Moretti, and has also recorded for Danilo Perez's new Big Band project. Between 2003-2008 Eleonora has been an assistant teacher at the Umbria Jazz Clinics, where she has been collaborating with Dennis Montgomery III for his Gospel Choir Ensamble. On November 2007 she also collaborated as guest vocalist with the legendary Brazilian singer Rosa Passos for her concert at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, (MA). On November 8, 2008 Eleonora performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York with the legendary singer from Peru, Eva Ayllon. She is currently lead vocalist of "Peru Mestizo Project" with band leader Oscar Stagnaro, and she just recorded her first CD, a project that features her own compositions in different South American music styles as well as lyrics in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Eleonora: Como un Aguila en lo Alto ? Como un Aguila en lo Alto is the debut album by Latin jazz singer Eleonora Bianchini. Here you will find a perfect combination of originality influenced by folkloric, Latin American, and Jazz music. After graduating from Berklee in 2007, she became a part of Boston's music scene by doing shows, collaborations with artists such as Oscar Stagnaro, Mark Walker, Jamey Haddad, andDanilo Perez, and networking where she met producer of the album, Barry Marshall. The album is a cross cultural distillation of Eleonora's myriad musical passions; the rhythms of the Samba, the Lando, and even Salsa mesh naturally with her lyrics' innate emotional qualities. Eleonora wrote seven of the songs on the album and also puts her unique vocal stamp on songs by Brazilian greats Ivan Lins, Caetano Veloso, and Djavan.
