This is a Premiere Edition! It is with so much "cariño" and appreciation for the encouragement of long time Friends, Fans and Colleagues that I passionately set about rescuing the Sound Tracks of my very first LP ("Maracatu") and upgrading to a digitally mastered CD. While working on this process, I was inspired to include some newer works compatible to the emotion of "Maracatu." The Choir, under the direction of esteemed Choral authority Paul Salamunovich with his St. Charles Choir, is heard on Bands 14 and 15, and from my original LP, "People of the Book" Score entitled "Voices from the Earth." From the earliest stages of my Musical career I have always maintained a Performing Ensemble. The first professional performing repertoire was dedicated to the Western European classical repertoires I was privileged to have been a part of as a Scholarship Student at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. After the marvelous Youth Symphony experiences under the direction of the late famous Conductor Leopold Stokowski, and a Season with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, my Musical life and Performances expanded to include the works of talented Composers from Latin America who composed in their specific genre reflecting their own Native Cultures. I had the joy of knowing and/or personally working with such talents as: Alberto Ginastera of Argentina, Carlos Chavez and Manuel Ponce of Mexico, Uribe, Holguin of Colombia, Villa Lobos of Brazil. In the "pop" genre, performing as a Solo Violinist with Augustin Lara, Ernesto Lecuona and Xavier Cugat of Cuba, Orial Rangel of Colombia and other were exciting "other" musical experiences.
