Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums on one CD. Los Super Seven is a predominantly Latin American supergroup formed in 1998. More of a collective, the band's manager, Dan Goodman, comes up with a concept for each of album and assembles the musicians to fit. No one player features on all their records, of which there have been three to date, with the exception of Ruben Ramos and Rick Trevino. Featured here are the band's first album Los Super Seven, for which they won a Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album in 1999, and the follow up Canto. Their musical style has changed with each incarnation, blending sounds from Tejano, Mariachi, Cuban, Afro-Peruvian, Brazilian, blues, rhythm and blues, country, jazz and rock.
