Formed by Yusuke Chiba (Vo), Futoshi Abe (G), Kazuyuki Kuhara (Dr), and Koji Ueno (B), Thee Michelle Gun Elephant made their debut with 'Sekai no Owari' on February 1, 1996. The rock band enjoyed a cult-like following before disbanding on October 11, 2003. Abe tragically passed away in 2009, and with Chiba's death in 2023, after years of performing with Kuhara in The Birthday, the band has cemented it's legendary status. As 2026 marks 30 years since their debut, the 30th-anniversary project, 'THEE 30th, ' has been set in motion. The analog version of their second album 'High Time, ' released just eight months after their debut album in 1996, titled 'Is This High Time?' is now being reissued. https://open.
