Three CD set. 31 tracks new to CD. Includes some of the biggest Jamaican hits of the early 70s. Having made his mark on the burgeoning Jamaican music industry during the first two years of the 1970s, musician-turned-producer Phil Pratt was determined to consolidate his success with further hits. His keen ear for music allied to a canny business sense enabled him to secure the services of some of the island's brightest up-and-coming performers, and by 1972, his artists roster boasted numerous future reggae superstars in Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Horace Andy, Dillinger and Al Campbell. All were to enjoy significant success under his direction, as were a handful of slightly more established acts, whose ranks included Delroy Wilson, Big Youth and Max Romeo. Such was the quality of his output at this time, Pratt's Sunshot, Sounds United and Terminal labels became hallmarks of quality for Jamaican record buyers, with the consistently high standard of his productions ensuring his continued success throughout the remainder of the decade. Featuring numerous hits and many obscurities - including 30 tracks new to CD - 'Feel Good All Over' focuses on Phil Pratt's output during a compelling period of Jamaican music history, when along with a new generation of brash, ambitious young music makers, he challenged the island's musical establishment, by producing some of the finest and most popular reggae recordings of the pre-roots era.
