An ultra-rare single originally released in 1964 on Andy Leonetti's Musicnote label, "The Gypsy" b/w "Now Look At Who's Crying," seems to be the only single The Four Chymes released. This is quite possibly the same group as the Brooklyn based doo-wop group named The Chimes, who originally had five members until 1963 when one of their bandmates died in a car accident. So, it would make sense that they were called The Four Chymes for this single. Regardless who they were, this single is superb doo-wop, with great arrangements by Lawrence Lucie - the guitarist and arranger for Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, and many others. Side A features a gorgeous slow ballad, Side B is amore up-tempo affair, with a catchy chorus and fine singing all around.
