Already well established as a composer, arranger, conductor and pianist, H. B. Barnum turned his talents to singing and here Jasmine has coupled his first two albums, "The Big Voice of Barnum" and "Everybody Loves H. B. " True to the first album title, a big voice it was and an even bigger ability to use it, H. B. simply grabbed whatever was in his heart and sang out with an abandon and accuracy that is positively flabbergasting. Includes excellent versions of "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face", "'Round Midnight" & "I'm Gonna Go Fishin'". Whether it's ballads or swingers there's a distinctive excitement to each song. In the words of the man himself, "I'm just enjoying myself man, but everybody's welcome". Upon listening to this superb CD there's no doubt that you too will find yourself welcome and you'll have almost as many joyful kicks as H. B. Barnum himself.
