Description

Artist: Braxton, Anthony
Label: Leo Records UK
Product Type: COMPACT DISCS
UPC: 5024792046829
Genre: Jazz, Box Sets

(4-CD box set) in June 2005, Anthony Braxton was invited to work with a 16-piece ensemble at Jazzatelier in Ulrichsberg, Austria. This work culminated in four performances beginning with the solo piano and the trio, and finishing with two performances with the ensemble. This 4-CD set documents yet another incredible achievement of Anthony Braxton, who, as Stuart Broomer writes in his brilliant notes, "has constructed a musical state in which no ultimate score can exist and in which the conductor himself is liberated - free to be surprised by the ongoing shaping of the music as well as it's detail."

Tracks:
1.1 Composition No.301 for Solo Piano - Genevieve Foccroulle
2.1 Compositions No.96 + 134 (Tri-Centric Version)
3.1 Composition No.323A - Anthony Braxton
4.1 Compositions No.169 + 147 (Tri-Centric Version)
