About the Tower Records charts
What are the Tower Records charts?
Every week we rank the ten best-selling vinyl records and the ten best-selling CDs at tower.com. It’s a snapshot of what music fans are actually buying, not what’s being streamed or pushed by radio, so you’ll find brand-new releases sitting next to records that have sold for decades.
How often do the charts change?
The charts are updated weekly. New releases can arrive straight in at number one, anniversary reissues bring classic albums back up the rankings, and some records simply never drop out.

The Top 10 is only the start. See the full Top 100 Vinyl and Top 100 CDs, browse Hot New Vinyl for this week’s arrivals, or check out Pre-Orders to secure upcoming releases before they hit the chart.
Tower Records has been selling music since 1960. Whether you’re building a vinyl collection or tracking down a CD you lost years ago, the charts are a good place to see what everyone else is listening to.
