Designed as an immersion in the chamber music of Gabriel Fauré, the double album recorded by pianist Simon Zaoui surrounded by Pierre Fouchenneret on violin, Raphael Merlin on cello and tenor David Lefort, unveils the arcana of the late style of the composer French. Of a Mysterious density, sometimes perceived as hermetic at the end of his life, Fauré's scores retain all the charm of his youthful works with a more direct melodic genius. - If Fauré knows the German composers, his expression is of a different nature. No extravagant effusion at home but an internallyized emotion - perfectly understood and restored here: succeeding the piano inspired by Simon Zaoui (who appears as a soloist in the last three Nocturnes), the musicians interpret who a sonata or a trio, which the autumnal melodies of The Fanciful Horizon with an absolute understanding of Faurean inspiration, a true poetry of the intimate. - Gabriel Fauré's chamber music, the double album recorded by the pianist Simon Zaoui with Pierre Fouchenneret on the violin, Raphael Merlin on the cello and the tenor David Lefort, unlocks the secrets of Fauré's late style.
