Again produced by and featuring blues legend Duke Robillard, Soul Blue 7 also has Al's former Roomful of Blues mates Duke, Doug James, Rich Lataiile, Marty Ballou and Carl Querfurth, plus special guests Sugar Ray Norchia and Sax Gordon Beadle. Al's songs draw from the blues, swing, and soul jazz traditions and feature his vocals and cornet solos along with his customary attention to strong lyric writing.
