Timedance label boss, Batu, returns for his most expansive work to date. The Monolith EP is comprised of three original tracks and a remix from Lee Gamble. Inspired by the relationship between light and dark timbres, the title track takes on a low-slung, hypnotic pace. "Reez" expands on this down-tempo feel, focusing on a more dub-wise aesthetic. "Void" is an infectious, gradually building loop. Strong emotive melodies set the track apart from the artists' usual "heads down" style. Lee Gamble's "Reez" remix deconstructs the propulsive nature of the original track into a hazy fog.
Tracks:
1.1 Monolith
1.2 Reez
1.3 Void
1.4 Reez (Lee Gamble 3rd Rail Deconstruction)
