A Song in the Wood takes the listener on a journey through various aspects of love, loss and loneliness. To musically represent this journey, the young Swiss tenor Remy Burnens and his piano accompanist Clémence Hirt are immersed in the for many unknown world of British composers in the early 20th century. The young lyrical tenor Remy Burnens works in the fields of opera, concert and lied in Switzerland and Europe. The Bernese with Vaudois roots studied with Peter Brechbühler in Lucerne and with Malcolm Walker in Paris. Master classes with Roger Vignoles, Barthold Kuijken and others complement his training. Remy Burnens appears as a sought-after concert singer throughout Switzerland. Regular appearances in the KKL Luzern and the major concert churches in Switzerland give him the opportunity to maintain a wide range of repertoire. He not only sings the tenor roles in Handel's oratorios or the evangelists in Bach's passions, but also the great tenor roles in oratorios from Mendelssohn to Britten.
