Debut release from the Brotherhood of the Blues Jug Band, a New York based group that plays in clubs in NYC. It's part of the blues-folk-New Orleans style jazz revival that is happening in new clubs in the East Village and also in areas of Brooklyn such as Red Hook and Williamsburg. The young group of musicians play their own compositions and a few standards in a traditional stomping style. The standout musician is lead singer, guitarist, harmonica and kazoo player Ernesto Gomez, who also does a few songs in Spanish. Joining Ernesto are Artie Stiles - jug; Eli Smith - washboard/miscellaneous percussion & backup vocals; Steve Strohmyer - guitar & backup vocals.
